There is a disorder called Gynecomastia. Gynecomastia is enlargement of the glandular tissue of the male breast. It is caused from hormonal imbalance.
Individuals with gynecomastia can be easily identified in everyday life. Therefore, some individuals have difficulties participating in some social activities because they feel inferiority in their body parts.
Gynecomastia are caused from increase of female hormones in the male body. There are many cases of adults with gynecomastia who didn’t have stable amount of androgen, estrogen and other hormones during their teenage years. Obesity also can instigate layers of fat to accumulate in the chest.
Once a layer of fat is accumulated in the skin, it is tremendously difficult to eliminate. It is important for individuals to participate in sports activities to avoid becoming obese. Gynecomastia also occur from tumors in different part of the body and even middle age decrease of skin elasticity.
As there are many causes of the disease, it is important to receive the correct diagnoses and consultation fit for each patient. A blood test must be performed on the patient to evaluate the contributing factors of gynecomastia and to measure the range of female and male hormones.
In addition, through breast ultrasound, existence of breast tumour and the enlarged tissue must be checked before diagnosis.
